Students at Assumption Catholic School in Jacksonville participate in Mass. Gifts to the Catholic Student Assistance Fund help provide more children with the opportunity to receive a Catholic education.

For Michelle, a single mother in the Diocese of St. Augustine, the Catholic Student Assistance Fund was more than financial assistance—it was “a Godsend.”

With help from the fund, her oldest son graduated from Bishop Kenny High School and is now attending college. Her youngest will graduate in 2027. Stories like hers are why the Catholic Student Assistance Fund exists: to help families provide their children with a Catholic education when financial hardship might otherwise place it out of reach.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, 136 students received tuition assistance during the past school year, the largest number in the fund’s five-year history. Since 2022, the fund has provided more than $409,000 in assistance to 478 students attending nine Catholic schools across the Diocese of St. Augustine.

The need continues to grow. Last year, 615 families applied for assistance, demonstrating that many more students could benefit from the opportunity to grow academically, spiritually and personally in a Christ-centered learning environment.
