Augustinian Father Art Purcaro will lead the 18th annual Summer School of Theology, June 22-26, offering a contemporary look at Augustinian spirituality shaped by decades of missionary and pastoral experience.

Father Purcaro, who served for many years in the Augustinian mission in Peru and later in leadership roles in Rome, worked closely with then-Father Robert Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV. He currently serves as assistant vice president for mission and ministry at Villanova University, where he also teaches theology.

This year's theme, "Building a Better World: A Contemporary Augustinian Perspective," will guide participants through reflection on faith, community and the call to live the Gospel in today's world. Drawing from the spirituality of St. Augustine, the program will explore themes such as interiority, unity, love and the joy that flows from a life rooted in Christ.
