Registration is open for two diocesan summer programs offering youth the chance to serve their communities close to home.

Urban Plunge and Servant Heart Camp provide hands-on mission experiences, connecting young people with those in need across the diocese.

Urban Plunge is open to high school students, while Servant Heart Camp is designed for middle schoolers. Participants will take part in service projects such as painting homes, building wheelchair ramps and assisting local residents.

This year's Servant Heart Camp will be hosted by Mary, Queen of Heaven Parish from July 27-30, running daily from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Urban Plunge will take place in Putnam County July 12-18 and in Duval and Clay counties July 19-25.

The cost is $75 for Servant Heart Camp and $175 for Urban Plunge. Scholarships are available for both programs.
