The Diocese of St. Augustine will continue its tradition of honoring St. James with a procession and Mass on Friday, July 24, observed this year on the eve of the feast.

Pilgrims are invited to gather at 5:30 p.m. at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios, 101 San Marco Ave., St. Augustine. The procession will wind through the historic city to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, marking the conclusion of the Camino of the Americas, a local pilgrimage route inspired by the ancient Camino de Santiago in Spain.

Those unable to walk the full route may join along the way at the city gates.

Bishop Erik Pohlmeier will celebrate Mass at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral.
